In 2014 we had the chance to visit Japan for six weeks. Five days of our stay we joined a so called “Wish club”, run by Mochan and his family.

The Wish club is like a paying couchsurfing…but you are not paying to sleep on the floor. The 20$/night you are paying for goes for the transportation with the mini-van and the delicious japanese food his family is cooking for the guest. If you are not into sleeping on the floor and sharing a tiny toilet and shower with strangers then Wish club is not for you!

But Wish club brings together great people from all around the world who wants to visit japan. Here is where the van comes into the picture! Every morning Mochan will pick us up with his van and everyday he will drive us to new places and to do different things. There is a schedule he will follow and each tour is different. David and I joined Mochan for a Cherry blossom spring tour in april ( see the schedule we had on the last pic). The tour included kimono experience, Fuji and cherry blossom viewing, tea ceremony and so much more. Unfortunally we were not able to stay with Mochan to the end of the tour since we had a flight to Australia. You can join and leave when ever you want and you only pay for the amount of days you stayed. We really recommend joining Wish club even if it’s only for a few days. Next time we are visiting Japan again we will join Wish club for sure!

I 2014 var vi sex veckor i Japan. Under fem dagar var vi med i ett så kallad Wish club, som drivs av Mochan och hans familj. Wish club är som en couchsurfing mot betalning…men man betalar inte för att sova på golvet utan dom 20$/natten går åt bensin till mini-vanen och den goda japanska maten som familjen lagar till gästerna. Om man inte tycker om att dela sovplatsen, en liten toilet och duch med främmande människor är inte Wish club någonting för er! Wish club är en samling plats för härliga människor från alla världens hörn som vill besöka Japan. Det är där mini-vanen kommer in i bilden. Varje morgon hämtar Mochan upp oss med Wish club vanen och kör oss runt till olika platser för olika aktiviteter. Det finns en schema som Mochan följer och varje schema och tour är olika. Jag och David var där på “Cherry blossom tour” i april och schemat vi hade kan ni se på sista bilden. Tyvärr hade vi ett flyg till Australien så vi kunde inte stanna till slutet. Man kan hoppa på och av som man vill och betalar för dagarna man har varit med. Jag rekommendera varm Mochan och hans Wish club. Vi ska definitiv med honom igen nästa gång vi är i Japan!
