THAI FOOD 🇹🇭 VS INDONESIAN FOOD 🇮🇩 🍲

What do you prefer?

I really love Indonesian food but I think Indonesian cusine is lacking a lot of fresh herbs like we use a lot in other Asian cuisine such as Thai and Vietnamese.
.
In Thailand if you go to any noodle stands there are always big bowls of fresh herbs and veggies available on the table. We always add a bunch of fresh coriander, mint leaf, sweet basil, sprouts beans, a squeeze of fresh lime and chilies etc in our noodles while here in Indonesia it’s not the standard.
.
We also find that there are a lot of Goreng = fried stuff. Like many part of the world Thailand also have fry food, it’s yummy 🤤 but we also get fresh veggies accompanied. The famous Indonesian Nasi and Mie goreng (fried rice and noodles) are all good but once again, we prefer the Thai version.

The curries or stew dishes here are so good, but we quickly noticed that they taste and use the same curry/chili sauce for everything. In Thailand we have so many variations of curries and stew.
.
Another dish we love in Thailand are the simple stir fry veggeis, stir fry Thai broccoli, morning glory etc. Indonesia have Cap Cay, stir fry mix veggies BUT they always come with 1 liter of gravy.

To summarize everything, for us Thai food is the clear winner 👌👌👌
